Random question generator

Free tool // Family friendly

Press the button for a random question: this or that, get to know you, icebreakers or question of the day. No repeats, no sign-up.

Pick a set

Your question will show up here.

Press the button and get a question. Pick a set first if you like: this or that, get to know you, icebreakers or question of the day. Every question is one we wrote ourselves, every one is family friendly, and you will not see the same one twice until the set runs out.

How to use the question generator

  • Pick a set, press the button. The question shows in the box. Press again for the next one.
  • Read it out or put it on the big screen. At a dinner table, in a meeting or on a video call, one person presses and reads.
  • Copy or share. Copy drops the question onto your clipboard for the team chat. Share opens your phone's share sheet.
  • Works by keyboard. Tab to the sets and the buttons, then press Enter or Space.

What is in it

The generator draws from our own question lists, about 500 questions in all:

Turn the questions into a game

A random question gets a conversation going. A game keeps it going all night. Which Would Ya? is free: everyone picks a side in secret on their own phone, then guesses how the room split. Put it on the TV, or play on phones alone. 2 to 20 players, no app, and guests never need an account.

Launch Party: every game is free to host until 30 November 2026, Party Pack 01 and Deck the Desks included. Sign in free to host. Guests never need an account.

Updated 28 October 2026.

Are the questions safe for kids and work?

Yes. We wrote every question ourselves, and all of them are family friendly and safe for work.
