Get it on your TV

Easy steps for every kind of TV, with other ways to do it if your TV has no browser. No app, no cables you do not already own.

What have you got?

Tap the one that matches your TV. Each one is three or four short steps. All of them end the same way: keyholegames.com/tv opens the party room, and everyone joins on their phone.

Samsung TV Internet app

Most Samsung smart TVs come with a browser called Internet.

  1. Press Home on the remote, then open Apps or Media and pick Internet.
  2. Select the address bar and type keyholegames.com/tv with the remote or the on-screen keyboard.
  3. A party room opens with a QR code and four letters. Everyone joins on their phone.
  4. Save it as a bookmark so next time is one click.

If your model has no Internet app, search the app store for a web browser, or use the Chromecast or laptop steps instead.

LG TV Web Browser

LG smart TVs (webOS) have an app called Web Browser.

  1. Press Home and find Web Browser in the row of apps. If it is not there, look in the LG Content Store.
  2. Type keyholegames.com/tv in the address bar.
  3. A party room opens with a QR code and four letters. Everyone joins on their phone.
  4. Add a bookmark so you can skip the typing next time.

If the page is slow or the browser closes by itself, close other apps on the TV and try again. Still stuck? Try the laptop or mirroring steps.

Fire TV Silk browser

Fire TV sticks and TVs can run the Silk browser.

  1. Press Home, choose Find or Apps and search for Silk. Install it if it is not already there.
  2. Open Silk and type keyholegames.com/tv in the address bar.
  3. A party room opens with a QR code and four letters. Everyone joins on their phone.
  4. Bookmark it so next time is quick.

If your model does not offer Silk, mirror a spare phone or laptop to it, or plug a laptop in with an HDMI cable.

Google TV or Android TV Cast, or a browser

Casting from a computer is the easiest way on these TVs.

  1. On a laptop or computer on the same Wi-Fi, open Chrome and go to keyholegames.com/tv.
  2. Open the Chrome menu, choose Cast, save, and share, then Cast, and pick your TV.
  3. The party room shows on the TV. Everyone joins on their phone.
  4. Or, if your TV has a browser installed, open it and type the same address.

Not every Google TV or Android TV comes with a browser. You can install one from the Google Play store if yours has none.

Xbox Edge browser

Xbox consoles have the Microsoft Edge browser.

  1. Open My games and apps and look for Microsoft Edge. Install it from the Microsoft Store if it is missing.
  2. Open Edge and enter keyholegames.com/tv in the address bar.
  3. A party room opens with a QR code and four letters. Everyone joins on their phone.
  4. Add it to your favorites for next time.

Use a controller to type, or a USB or Bluetooth keyboard if you have one.

Apple TV AirPlay

Apple TV has no web browser, so you send the picture from another Apple device with AirPlay.

  1. On a Mac, iPad or a spare iPhone on the same Wi-Fi, open keyholegames.com/tv in a browser.
  2. Open Control Center and tap Screen Mirroring, then pick your Apple TV. Type the code the TV shows if it asks.
  3. The party room shows on the TV. Everyone else joins on their phone.
  4. Use a spare device, not the phone that is playing.

Many newer TVs from other makers also support AirPlay. If yours shows up in Screen Mirroring, the same steps work.

Roku Screen mirroring

Roku has no browser we can recommend, so you mirror a screen to it.

  1. On a Windows laptop, press Windows key + K (Windows 11) and choose your Roku. On an Android phone, use Smart View, Cast or Quick Connect in the quick settings.
  2. Accept the prompt that appears on the TV.
  3. Open keyholegames.com/tv in the browser on the device you are mirroring.
  4. On a Mac, iPad or iPhone, use AirPlay instead, if your Roku supports it.

Most current Roku players and TVs support mirroring, but a few older ones do not. To check, go to Settings, System, About on the Roku.

PlayStation Use another way

PlayStation does not have an official web browser, so use a different way to get the party room on the TV.

  1. If the TV itself is a smart TV, use its own browser: pick your TV brand above.
  2. Or plug a laptop into the TV with an HDMI cable (see Laptop or computer).
  3. Or send a screen to the TV with Chromecast or AirPlay, if the TV supports it.
  4. No luck? Everyone can still play on phones alone.

The PlayStation stays on for your other games. You only need one device to show the party room.

Chromecast Cast a tab or mirror

Cast a browser tab from a computer, or mirror an Android phone.

  1. On a computer on the same Wi-Fi as the Chromecast, open Chrome and go to keyholegames.com/tv.
  2. Open the Chrome menu, choose Cast, save, and share, then Cast, and pick your Chromecast. Cast the tab so the sound plays on the TV.
  3. On an Android phone, open the Google Home app, pick your Chromecast and look for the option to cast your screen.
  4. Use a spare phone for mirroring, not the one that is playing.

Chrome on a computer is the steadiest way. Phone mirroring depends on your phone and its Android version.

Pick a different device

Laptop or computer HDMI cable

A laptop and an HDMI cable work with almost any TV.

  1. Plug the laptop into a free HDMI port on the TV, and switch the TV to that input.
  2. Open a browser on the laptop and go to keyholegames.com/tv.
  3. Press F11 (Windows) or Control + Command + F (Mac) for full screen.
  4. Set the laptop's sound output to the TV if you want the sound on the big speakers.

If the picture does not show, check that the laptop is set to mirror or duplicate its display.

No TV at all Phones only

You do not need a big screen. Every party game plays on phones alone.

  1. The host opens a party game on their phone and taps Host a party.
  2. The phone shows a QR code and four letters. Everyone scans it or types the letters.
  3. The host's phone does the TV's job, and it can sit in the middle of the table.
  4. Or use a laptop as the shared screen and open keyholegames.com/tv on it.

Tips for a smooth night

  • Type keyholegames.com/tv with the remote once, then bookmark it.
  • Mirroring? Use a spare device, never the phone that is playing.
  • Sound comes from the TV. Turn it up, or use a sound bar. Every game also works with the sound off.
  • Flashing or shaking not for you? Turn on Calm mode in the site footer.
  • Text too small from the couch? Zoom the TV's browser in, or sit closer.

Already in a game?

The host taps Use a big screen on their phone and types the four letters on the TV. The game moves across and nobody joins again. There is a Not sure how? button on that screen too.
